Cecil Engineering was established in January 1981 to provide services in land boundary and design surveying, mineral land management, and civil engineering. Cecil Engineering has developed a specialty in surveying for all land development disciplines such as sewer and waterlines, storm drainage lines, roads and streets, control surveys for aerial mapping, dams, landfills, hospitals, schools, industrial parks, grading, erosion & sediment controls, and numerous other municipal projects. Design experience includes a variety of designs for the development related disciplines such as sewer and water systems, site plans, storm drainage, and access roads. Over the last thirty-five years, Cecil Engineering has participated in some of the largest design and construction projects in Southwest Virginia.
Cecil Engineering has a special expertise in the management of coal and gas properties in Southwest Virginia, Southern West Virginia, and Eastern Kentucky. Land Management services include lease negotiations and monitoring, title and boundary resolutions, permit reviews, production audits, the monitoring of active mining and gas projects, and litigation support. Cecil Engineering has provided technical assistance and testimony for some of the largest civil settlements awarded in the State of Virginia.
The Firm’s principal, Andrew W. Cecil, Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor, is the professional responsible for all project oversight. Mr. Cecil is expertly assisted by a dedicated and experienced staff.
